Experience

I qualified as a teacher, from Roehampton University, in 2011 and have undertaken many different roles within education. I am primarily a KS2 teacher but have also taught in KS1. Having taught in Year 2 and Year 6, I have experience in preparing children for their SATs exams at the end of the year. The work ethic of the pupils in my care has been commendable and the dedication they have put into their learning has been admirable.

In addition, I am also a qualified SENDCo and have previously taught a small class of children with Autism as their primary need. These children needed to have a fully adapted curriculum to meet their needs and in order for them to achieve success within their educational journey. SEND is my passion and within my subsequent roles as Deputy Headteacher and now Head of School, I lead on the areas of SEND and Pastoral Support, Attendance and Safeguarding.

Additional information

Since joining SDE in 2024, I have really enjoyed being back in the classroom and teaching the children in my groups. Each and every one of them bring something different to the class and I am passionate about helping each child reach their full potential and flourish in the 11+.
